Home/Services/Cloud & DevOps

Production should be the boring part.

Deployments that are routine instead of an event, backups that have actually been restored, monitoring that pages a human before a customer does, and someone who answers when it goes wrong.

Who this is for

Is this you?

  • Teams deploying by hand, at night, hoping nothing breaks
  • Companies with no monitoring, or with alerts everyone ignores
  • Businesses whose infrastructure was set up by someone who has left
  • Anyone who has never tested whether their backups restore

Problems it removes

What this fixes.

  • Releases that are risky enough that you avoid making them
  • Finding out about downtime from a customer
  • Costs that grew on cloud services nobody can account for
  • Backups nobody has ever restored from
  • A security posture nobody has reviewed in years

Capabilities

What we build.

Deliverables, not adjectives. Each of these is something you receive and own.

Cloud infrastructure

AWS and Azure environments with sensible isolation, autoscaling and cost controls — sized for your real load.

CI/CD pipelines

Automated build, test and deploy with staging, rollback and no manual steps at 11pm.

Monitoring and alerting

Uptime, error rate, performance and business metrics, with alerts that mean something.

Backup and recovery

Automated backups with a tested restore procedure and a documented recovery time.

Security hardening

Patch posture, access review, dependency scanning, exposed-surface audit and incident response.

Ongoing support

A monthly arrangement covering updates, monitoring, fixes and small enhancements.

How we approach it

The order we do things in.

  1. Audit what existsEvery server, service, credential, cron job and cost line — including the ones nobody remembers.
  2. Fix what is dangerous firstExposed surfaces, missing backups and unpatched systems, before anything cosmetic.
  3. Automate the deploymentUntil releasing is routine and reversible.
  4. Instrument itMonitoring and alerting on the things that actually indicate a problem.
  5. Document and hand overRunbooks written so that a new engineer can operate it without calling us.

Technology

What we work in for this.

Only what we support in production today. If your stack is outside this list we will say so on the first call rather than learn it on your project.

Questions

Cloud & DevOps — the things people ask.

Can you take over infrastructure someone else built?
Yes — it is most of what we do here. We start with a full audit, fix what is dangerous, then automate and document. We have inherited estates with no documentation and no surviving original engineer.
Do you do security work?
Yes. We have been brought in after a breach, audited the estate, closed the exposure and stayed on to run the environment afterwards. Security hardening, dependency and access review, and incident response are part of this service.
What does support actually cover?
A defined monthly scope: security and dependency updates, monitoring and alert response, bug fixes, backup verification and a bank of hours for small enhancements. Response times are written into the agreement rather than implied.
Can you reduce our cloud bill?
Usually. The common wins are right-sizing over-provisioned instances, removing orphaned resources, fixing storage lifecycle policies and moving predictable load onto committed pricing. We report the saving against the audit baseline so you can see it.
Do we have to move to AWS?
No. We work with AWS and Azure, and with traditional hosting where that is genuinely the right answer. Migrating is a decision with a cost — we will tell you when staying put is the better call.

Have a cloud & devops problem you need solved?

Bring us the problem rather than a specification. A senior engineer will look at it and tell you how we would approach it — the likely shape, the risks worth knowing about, and a rough range.

Or email info@eye4tech.com — a senior engineer replies, usually within one business day.
