Terms of Service
The terms that govern use of this website, and the ground rules for engaging Eye4Tech. Your actual project is always governed by a separate signed agreement.
The short version: this page covers using the website. It is not your contract. Any actual work we do for you is governed by a separate signed agreement that sets out scope, price, timeline and intellectual property — and in that agreement, you own what we build for you.
About these terms
These terms apply to your use of eye4tech.com, operated by Eye4Tech Technologies LLC. By using the site you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the site.
Nothing here creates a client relationship. That begins only when both parties sign an engagement agreement.
Use of this website
The content here is provided for general information about our services. You are welcome to read it, share it and quote it with attribution. You may not:
- Scrape or bulk-download the site, or republish it as your own
- Attempt to breach its security, probe it for vulnerabilities without our written permission, or interfere with its operation
- Submit false, misleading or unlawful information through our forms, or use them to send unsolicited commercial messages
We may withdraw access to anyone who does. If you believe you have found a security issue, please tell us at info@eye4tech.com — we will not pursue anyone who reports a genuine issue in good faith and gives us a reasonable chance to fix it.
Service engagements
Development, integration, infrastructure and support services are governed by an individual written agreement per engagement, covering scope, deliverables, acceptance, rates, payment terms, timelines, intellectual property and termination.
Where those terms and this page disagree, the signed agreement wins.
Proposals and estimates
Nothing on this website is a binding offer. Prices mentioned here are indicative starting points, not quotes.
Written proposals are valid for 30 days unless they say otherwise. An estimate is our honest assessment based on what we knew at the time; if the scope changes materially, we will say so before doing the work rather than after.
Intellectual property
Your work
Unless a signed agreement says otherwise, everything we create for you under a paid engagement is assigned to you on full payment. The repository lives in your organisation from the first commit, and documentation is a deliverable rather than an extra.
Where we reuse a pre-existing internal component or an open-source library, you receive a perpetual licence to use it as part of your system. We will tell you when that applies.
Our work
The Eye4Tech name, logo, and the text and design of this website remain ours.
Confidentiality
Anything you tell us through our forms or on a call is treated as confidential, whether or not an NDA is in place. We will sign a mutual NDA before any detailed technical discussion — we are happy to use yours rather than insisting on ours.
We do not name a client publicly, or describe their systems, without permission. Some of our work is described on this site rather than named for exactly that reason.
Third-party platforms
Our work often involves platforms we do not control — commerce platforms, cloud providers, payment processors, carriers and APIs. We are not responsible for their availability, pricing, or breaking changes they make to their own products. Where such a change affects your system we will tell you promptly and set out the options.
Licences and subscription fees for third-party products are yours unless the agreement says otherwise.
Warranties
We warrant that work delivered under an engagement will materially conform to the agreed scope, and that we will perform it with the reasonable skill and care expected of a competent professional.
This website itself is provided "as is". We keep it accurate but do not warrant that it is error-free or continuously available.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, revenue or data arising from use of this website. Liability arising from a paid engagement is limited as set out in that engagement's signed agreement.
Governing law
These website terms are governed by the laws applicable at Eye4Tech's place of registration, and disputes about the website are subject to those courts. Engagement agreements state their own governing law, which is agreed with each client.
Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is always the one on this page, and the date below tells you when it last changed. Changes do not affect an engagement already under contract.
